Ressources and Research Memory Centre

Team manager: Dr Audrey GABELLE-DELOUSTAL

Nursing executive: Anne-Cécile ROMAN

Specialities: The expertise of our team is focused on preventing the risk of cognitive impairment, the diagnosis and the care of neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s disease and related syndromes, genetic dementia, frontotemporal dementia, progressive primary aphasia, corticobasal syndrome, Lewy body disease ...). From the early stages of these affections, from the stage of cognitive complaint and even in the patients at risk of developing the disease we propose preventive axes of innovative research and care projects. As everyone is unique we aim a personalised care sustained by a multidisciplinary team and a collegiality of expertise.

The Resources and Research Memory Centre has been labelled Reference Centre in 2002 by the Regional Health Agency, it is integrated within the CMRR Federation and recently with the National Memory Centres which besides the CMRRs gather all the local memory consultations spread over the French territory. Some types of cognitive disorders are rarer, at early start presentation (young subjects <60 years) or atypical presentation/evolution, reason why a Reference Centre is dedicated to them.

The CMRR is part of the Neurology Department. It has close links on numerous projects with particularly the clinical proteomics platform, the sleep lab, the imaging platform, and the psychiatry and geriatrics departments. Strong relationships and partnerships with the Excellent European Centre working on the Neurodegenerative diseases (CoEN), the Parkinson Expert Centre, the Huntington competent Centre, the Narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia Reference Centre are efficient.
